William J. Piercy is a principal with the firm. Bill advises companies and entrepreneurs on a wide variety of legal issues impacting their businesses. Bill focuses his practice on business dispute resolution, with a particular emphasis on disputes relating to real estate and partnerships. Bill has broad experience facilitating the resolution all manner of business related disputes including contract disputes, business torts, unfair competition claims, partnership, shareholder and other internal corporate disputes, and claims involving title to real estate. Bill’s extensive experience in such matters often enables him to help clients proactively avoid many common business related disputes all together. While Bill prides himself on resolving his clients’ challenges outside the courtroom when possible, he is very comfortable in representing clients in court when need be.
Bill serves on the Executive Committee of the Gators for Business arm of the Atlanta Gator Club – an alumni organization associated with the University of Florida. Bill was named as a Rising Star among Atlanta lawyers under the age of 40 by Law and Politics Magazine in 2006. Bill is also an Eagle Scout.
After graduating from the University of Florida, Bill obtained his law degree from the Emory University School of Law and has lived in Atlanta since 1994. Bill is married to Dawn and they have a son, Mitchell. While not practicing law, Bill enjoys the outdoors, sailing, reading and college football.
